Programme:

Sutter gave the German side the lead after only three minutes. Ian Rush levelled the scores after thirty-seven minutes. That remained the score until the last minute of the game when Muller got the goal that won the Trophy for the Germans. United did not use any substitutes and Nigel Martyn, Tony Yeboah and Rod Wallace played only a watching role. SC Freiburg won the Karl-Heinz Bente Turnier Trophy, which was the siverware at stake for the Bahlingen Tournament.
